2007 Season

January
The AGM saw the re-election of all the main office holders. The club members decided to support the St John’s Ambulance this year as our chosen charity

February
The issue of form 11/1 is still haunting us! Trevor Mitchel from the AOVC has advised us to keep within the law and fill in these forms when necessary. Most of the ground work for the annual show has been completed and the finisher’s awards will soon be decided upon.

March
The push is on to sell as many tickets as possible for the annual show. Plans are being finalised and everyone should know what they have to do on the day.

April
It’s that time again. The sow this year attracted a lot of entries with the numbers for finisher’s awards running out at 1.30 p.m! After all the work on the show a de-stress weekend was overdue and sure enough Ballylinney provided that. The fancy dress proved to be worth the effort again with most people suitably attired, although slightly inebriated.

May
This years Limavady mayor’s parade saw the classic cars parked on the main street where they could be viewed by the general public, rather than have to follow the main parade.

June
The meeting was held in the Point bar at Magilligan as it has been for a few years now. Ken Bates organised a great run on the 3rd to Donegal with about 12 cars in attendance. A few members attended the Roe Valley vintage clubs show in Killane Road Limavady. The Moffatt show proved to be a great weekend with a lovely run around St Marys Loch on the Saturday, although Sunday was a bit wet!

July
Tommy Finlay showed a couple of excellent DVD’s at July’s meeting. One was of the annual show this year at CDRFC and the other showed an old metro being raced at Kirkston by a 15 year old boy!

August
Tommy organised a run on th 12th August to Ballycastle leaving Limavady Football Club at 2.30pm. 14 cars in total took part and everyone enjoyed the day, although some found the questions a bit taxing.

September
John, Joan and Erica King organised a lovely run on Sunday 16th September. Cars met up at the Happy Landing at 2.00 p.m, made their wa to the railway at bushmills for a trip on the train, and returned to Ritters in the country park in Limavady for a wee bite to eat. We were even lucky enough to miss most of the very wet weather.!
