Season
January
The AGM saw the re-election of all the main office bearers for the year ahead. The club members decided to support a local charity – ‘Something Special’ this year.
Plans started for annual static show. Show to have a new sponsor this year
February
Most of the preparation work for the annual show has been completed and the finisher’s awards decided upon. Next trophy put up this year by Foyle Food Group.
March
The push is on to sell as many tickets as possible for the annual show. Plans are being finalised more number and finishers awards being purchased for the show. Discussions took place in relation to car-parking if the weather was poor. Easter baskets provided for the draw.
April
Show time. The show this year was another success even if the weather was very cold. After all the work on the show a relaxing weekend was overdue and sure enough Ballylinney was just the ticket.
May
This years Limavady mayor’s parade saw the classic cars parked on the main street where they could be viewed by the general public, rather than have to follow the main parade.
June
The meeting was held in the Point bar at Magilligan as it is every year with an excellent barbeque. 2 runs held in the month with the opportunity for members to get out and about. Six members attended the Moffett show again this year and had an enjoyable weekend.
July
2 runs held in the month, one to the open farm in Castledawson and the other to Spamount to view a collection of vehicles from South Africa.
August
Club decided to hold further meeting in Eglinton Community Hall. Members assisted with marshalling at the North Coast Mini Club event in Portrush.
September
Run to Haslett House and a view of the air show was part of the run this month. Visit to the flax mill in Co. Tyrone was very interesting for members.
Members took part in the homecoming parade through Eglinton village to Gold medal winner Jason Smyth, Jason toured the village in the club president’s Land rover 101.
October
This is the month for the club quiz night that tested the knowledge of members on cars and general knowledge.

November
Dinner dance tickets selling well.
December
Dinner dance time were members and friends ended the year with a good nights craic. Once again the highlight was the singing from the club chairman. |
